Luxembourg – First step back to normality!
Michael Khan reports from the first Level 1 coaching course after the lockdowns !
Courts have re-opened in a number of countries and travel restrictions have been eased at least in the Schengen-area – Schengen by the way is a small city in Luxembourg! Therefore it was quite fitting to run the first Level 1 coaching course after the Corona lockdown in Luxembourg. The course was originally planned for April and then postponed.
Local coach and organizer Marc Thrill seized the opportunity and arranged for the course to take place from 16-19 July at the Squash Club Peitenge. WSC Tutor Michael Khan flew in from Vienna to meet 8 participants from Luxembourg joined by two from Belgium and one from the Netherlands. After 4 intense days of lectures and practical sessions the candidates had to show their newly acquired coaching skills in a group and individual “demo” session. The result – all “positive”!
The four new L1 coaches from Squash Club Peitenge will support Marc Thrill with a school programme in Peitenge that will start in September and include Squash into the regular school curriculum.
